Trip to Richfield

We recently went to Richfield for a quick visit. It was our first trip in our new truck and we had a lot of fun besides getting car (or truck) sick in Indian Canyon. I guess its just the truck being a lot higher off the ground than my durango. Saturday Jill, Brandon, Garrett and Sierra met us and we took a drive to Fremont Indian State park and did a couple of hikes and a visit to the museum. It was fun and a nice little historical trip. Then we went to Hoovers to eat. They always have good food. Sunday we just hung out and visited some friends in town, and then Monday before we came home, we took a four wheeler tide to Saul's meadow. That is always a pretty ride no matter the time of year.

Mystic Hot Springs

Ever since I met Clint, he had told me of the Mystic Hot Springs down In Monroe. Apparently he frequented there while he was living in Richfield. So we went there the last time we were down. We left Heber and Liberty at my in laws and Let me just Say they must have been something back in the day because I wasn't impressed but it was something Clint wanted to show us. I guess things must have looked better in a drug induced haze right? LMAO! Anyway here are some pictures. The kids thought it was very very cool that the water came out of the ground that HOT!

These are "soaking pools!"

They have a huge pond filled iwth Koi.

A cool little cave Clint showed the kids!

Misc Richfield pics

These pictures are all from a recent trip we took to Richfield. We drove through Provo canyon and stopped to see Bridal Veil Falls.

Bullion City

While in Richfield, we decided to drive to Marysvale and go through the old gold mines at Bullion City. It was a fun adventure and I think everyone enjoyed it!

Riley

Some of you may know that my son Riley has been at his dad's for the whole month of July, and I have missed him terribly. I did however get to "clean out" his room while we were moving. If any of you have had a close encounter with a 10 year old boy you will know that is not an easy task. I swear he collects everything under the sun! He is such a dear boy and when I picked him up last night it was all I could do to not hug and kiss him until I felt better. I just wanted to cry because I was so happy to see him. Now tonight I have to put that dear sweet little boy on a plane and won't see him for 18 days. He gets to go and visit Grandpa Dick in Alaska. His great grandpa, uncle and cousin will all be flying into Fairbanks for a cool boys vacation. I am so jealous that Riley gets to go and I have to stay home, but oh well. The airfare alone for our family would kill us as Riley's ticket was around $1100.00. Yeah yikes! Anyways, we are also headed out to a family reunion in Richfield so I will not be posting until Monday but will probably bore you all to tears when I get back! Please keep Riley in your thoughts to have a safe trip flying all alone without his mommy! Ha ha, and don't ever tell him I said that or else!
