Sunday morning started with a trip to 7-11 to pick up a pumpkin spice latte. I am now addicted to them...Then a trip to my Dad's to drop off the girls and head up the mountain to get wood for the winter. The rest of my family had already gotten theirs but we slacked so they came to help us! So Dad, Clint, Grandpa Ted, Uncle Mike, Riley and I were off like a terd of hurtles...Sorry bad joke.
This is my little man helping me mark wood...
This is the only proof that I was there as I was taking all of the pictures!
Here is my Dad the hero! He is so awesome and he and my step mom are such awesome people! They help us out all the time and we appreciate them so much.
This is my Grandpa Ted who helped supervise this whole operation!
Here is Riley again this time with an ax! Look out world!
Here is my Uncle Mike the tree faller downer...Don't know what else to call it...LMAO!
We had a fun time and got a lot of wood and now we have a toasty warm fire which is so nice! Thanks so much to all who helped us!

nothing like a warm crackling fire in the winter. sounds yummy! BUT getting the wood sucks! That is one of my least favorite thing to do.
Oh I miss those days, of going up in the mountain to get wood. You are so lucky, there is nothing like that! It's so fun to do that with family, hard work but fun! Enjoy those warm cozy fires! :)
You're too spry for cutting wood! You need to have saw dust in your hair, and dirt smudged on your face!!!! haha
Wow! What a great family experience. We used to do things like this when I was a kid: the big one was baling hay. We all worked hard together to get a meaningful job done. Thanks for awakening old memories on a perfect fall day :)
